Stone Stage School To Bring West End To Staffordshire
Stone’s Pop School and Stage Academy (PSSA), the only midlands branch of the prestigious London-based performing arts school, is set to bring the West End to a Staffordshire stage this November with its performance of the musical ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at the newly refurbished Mitchell Memorial Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent.
The show will allow the school’s pupils to experience being part of a professionally organised performance while showcasing their skills to friends and family. Principle Elaine Bird says:
“The whole ethos of PSSA is to nurture confident, accomplished performers while having fun; so we try to give our students as much opportunity to perform as possible. The highlight of our year is always our big annual show and this year, alongside PSSA cast members, our ‘Little Luvvies’ will be joining us for part of the performance. We always try to put on a real spectacular and Beauty & the Beast is set to be no exception – our costume mistress has surpassed herself, we have a fantastic venue and the cast is seriously impressive during rehearsals – we can’t wait to get the performances underway!”
Beauty and the Beast will run at Mitchell Memorial Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent on 17th, 18th and 19th November. For more information on the performances and how to secure tickets or to find out more on PSSA, which holds classes on Saturdays at Stone’s Rooftop Studios, visit www.rooftopstudios.co.uk
