Chiswick Dance Troupe On Track To Perform At The Indigo O2 Arena!

The PSSA Chiswick dance troupe 'Mixed Up' stormed through the North London heat of Red Cross: Make Your Move 2012 last weekend.

Make your Move 2012 is a youth competition designed to showcase young dance groups across the UK whilst raising money for future British Red Cross appeals. Last week's heat took place at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre and Mixed Up put on a mature and emotional performance, gaining themselves Senior Champions award and a further award for Creative Choreography.

'Mixed Up' created a touching piece telling the devastating story of the Pakistan floods in 2010, and more importantly the message of hope provided within the medical and food supplies sent over by the Red Cross.

A mixture of contemporary dance, hip hop, partner work and acting, not only have they worked hard to create the storyline and choreography alongside dance teacher Amelia, but one of the group members, Cara Jameson also created the music.

The talented bunch now go on to represent PSSA at the London Finals on 26th May and we're crossing everything for them. Winning this round would lead to an amazing opportunity to perform onstage at the O2 Arena in a bid for the title of Make your Move Dance UK Champions 2012.

The girls are working incredibly hard to perfect their routine in time for the the next heat.... Keep everything crossed for them as they work their way towards the O2 stage!!!
