PSSA - Pop School, Stage Academy, Drama Lessons and Kid's Dance School
The main difference between The Pop School and Stage Academy and other Children's stage schools is the emphasis on performance!!
Laura Bird says "When I was younger and attending my local Youth Theatre, show week was so special. It made all the hard work worthwhile. It was such a buzz, the costumes, the make-up, the backstage atmosphere, the lights, the performance and then the huge applause at the end, it's a great experience!".
Mia and Laura Bird, the founders of the school, want the children to be rewarded for their efforts in class and experience all these things. Its a great learning curve for all the students to put into practice what they learn and train for on a Saturday. It keeps the schedule at PSSA fresh and challenging. This process is beneficial to all students and gives them all a skill for life...to have the ability to stand before an audience with confidence gives any child a head start as they enter adulthood, whether they want to persue a career in the entertainment industry or not.
All the teachers at PSSA notice a remarkable difference in their students after the show, "There was a new confidence and energy in each one of the children involved in the show, there was also a much stronger sense of camaraderie and group dynamic between all the age groups in the school."
